"It takes a Village to Raise a Child" - Prevention Partnership & Family Support Conference 2019

Boyle Family Resource Centre attended the Prevention Partnership & Family Support Conference 2019. This conference was a great opportunity where Tusla and partner organisations, such as Boyle Family Resource Centre spoke of how we can further develop and strengthen our partnership to support the people who use our services.
Louise (Boyle FRC), Noreen (Foróige) & Linda (Ballaghaderreen FRC) presented on 'It Takes a Village to Raise a Child'. They spoke of the benefits of partnership and collaboration work between the relevant agencies in identifying and meeting the needs of children and their families. Louise, Noreen and Linda gave examples of their work together in County Roscommon and why this type of work of work brings advantages for all involved. We in Roscommon belive that it does take a village to raise a child and that there is no wrong door for families due to working togther and being active in your village.

As PPFS Manager ⁦Georgina Kilcoyne⁩ could not attend PPFS conference in person we recorded a short video as part of the workshop presentation ‘It Takes a village to Raise a Child’ by the FRCs & Foroige in Roscommon.
