The Oasis Community Sensory Space

What is a Sensory Space
A sensory space provides a "Sensory- friendly" environment in which individuals are given the sensory input they need to self-regulate and decompress. This could be a place or even specfic objects that are made of certain materials or have less harsh lighting. Everyones needs are different, so there is no one-size-fits-all solution.

How do Sensory Spaces Help?
Sensory Space are focused on providing the best sensory input for specific needs. By using a variety of therapeutic equipment, kids learn to self-regulate their behaviors and ultimately improve their focus.
The Oasis Community Sensory Space is available for the whole community to use - you do not need to have a disability to enjoy our sensory room! The room is available during the week, after hours and on weekends, so you are welcome to use the room at a time that is suitable to you. Bring a friend or family member to enjoy the relaxing space.
